In Mexico, you’re required to own car liability coverage, which covers the damages to third parties resulting from an accident that was your fault. Though, given the cost of vehicles and medical care, the state requirements may not be enough to cover all of the damages. Remember, liability coverage will not cover your own wounds or property damage; it only serves your responsibility to other drivers.

Speak with an agent for more information about Mexico's liability requirements and how to get more widespread coverage by adding collision, comprehensive, medical expenses, uninsured motorist etc. to your auto policy.
