In the event of an accident should occur the first thing to remember is Remain Calm you bought your Mexico Auto Insurance. Do not move your car, or leave the scene unless authorities instruct you to do so. Dial the Baja California (Norte) Emergency Response Hotline at 066. This is the Mexican equivalent to 911. Make sure they send out an accident investigator to take an accident report. Your Mexico Auto Insurance policies requires that an accident report be taken in order to file a claim. Call Your Mexico Auto Insurance provider as soon as the accident occurs. At the Numbers Below:

All of the Mexico Auto Insurance Underwritters will ask you to provide the folowing:

  • Mexico Auto Insurance Policy number
  • Name of the insured and the drive
  • Vehicle Identification: year, make, model, type, color and license plate
  • Place and address where the accident occurred
  • Do not leave the vehicle unattended since the insurance policy does not cover partial theft of parts.
  • If the vehicle is moved from the scene of the accident, you must inform the insurance company of the new location.

When the adjuster arrives, you will be asked for the following documents:
  • Mexico Auto Insurance policy
  • A valid driver's license
  • Vehicle Permit (If Applicable)

You will be asked to complete an accident report. Please do so since failure to do that may result in rejection of the claim. You have the right to ask for an attorney while at the police station. If you feel you may need an attorney, discuss this with the Genworth or ACE representative.

Once you are Back Home

Upon your return to the US and after the claim has been reported to the company in Mexico, you can get the status of your claim by contacting your Mexico Auto Insurance Company at the numbers below:
